What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers require at least two visits to the dental practice. The first appointment is the preparation, and it is the longest, where the dentist reshapes “front” or visible part of the tooth to allow room for the veneer to be placed. You should not feel any pain. The preparation of each tooth is usually minimal and should not compromise the long-term health of the tooth.

During the second visit to the dental practice, our dentist will place the veneers on the teeth making sure the veneers fit to your teeth. If you are happy with the appearance, then each veneer is bonded to each tooth.

To be confident that the restoration fits naturally, you can pick the size and shape of the veneers that is just right for you to use. If you have a small gap, then it means that the treatment is not possible. Porcelain veneers are often used to correct small gaps in teeth.
